Supervision from the Student Teacher's Perspective: An Institutional Case Study

Investigating the Content and Sources of Teacher Candidates' Personal Practical Theories (PPTs)

Early Childhood Education Students' Reflections: Volunteering after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita

The article describes reflections of student teacher volunteers in shelters, following hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The student teachers' comments showed their greater understanding of the impact the crisis of the hurricanes left on the children's lives. In addition, the students developed a stronger sense of community and learned about flexibility and supervision in early childhood education.

Pre-Service Science Teachers' Perceptions of Written Lesson Appraisals: The Impact of Styles of Mentoring

Becoming a student teacher: core features of the experience

The study set out to explore the students' motivations for deciding on teacher education programs, their preconceptions and expectations of teaching, and their early experiences as student teachers. German trainees' reflections on two approaches to initial teacher training

Addressing Social Difference with Prospective Teachers Who Want 'To Make a Difference'

Jordanian Pre-service Teachers' Perceptions of the Portfolio as a Reflective Learning Tool

Pre-service Teachers' Conceptions about Teaching and Learning: A closer look at Singapore cultural context

A study regarding conceptions about teaching and learning was conducted with 313 teacher education students in Singapore. The study identified two primary concepts: traditional and constructivist. Findings show that there was a greater tendency for students to hold constructivist conceptions and multivariate data analysis found race groups and qualifications as the significant differences between the two groups.
